Abstract submitters may choose their preferred method of presentation upon abstract submission. However, the final decision lies with the Scientific Committee. All abstracts will be reviewed and assigned to an appropriate session. Authors of the accepted abstracts will be notified of the mode of presentations as follow:

1. Oral Presentation:

  • Total 10 minutes will be allotted for Oral Presentation, inclusive of 8 minutes presentation in themed session and 2 minutes question & answer.
  • Presenters must submit presentation slide in MS. Power Point format (.ppt or .pptx) with on screen show 16:9 (landscape) through your ICTMM 2024 account dashboard by 5th September 2024.
  • Presenters are required to use the Abstract & Call For Symposium Slide Template, which are available on the website, under the Programme tab.
  • Presenter must present onsite during the congress.

 

2. Rapid Oral Presentation:

  • Total 4 minutes will be allotted for Rapid Oral Presentation, inclusive of 3 minutes presentation in themed session + 1 minute question & answer.
  • Presenters must submit presentation slide in MS. Power Point format (.ppt or .pptx) with on screen show 16:9 (landscape) through your ICTMM 2024 account dashboard by 5th September 2024.
  • Presenters are required to use the Abstract & Call For Symposium Slide Template, which are available on the website, under the Programme tab.
  • Presenter must present onsite during the congress.

 

3. Poster Presentation:

  • Presenters are required to submit a physical poster on the event day upon registration.
  • The size of the poster must be in A0: 84.10cm (W) x 118.90cm (H) (Portrait Orientation).
  • The poster may include printed materials, tables, graphs, photographs, or illustrations. All the materials should be of sufficient size so they can be easily read at a reasonable distance of 1 to 1.5 meters by the readers.
  • Presenters are suggested to use the Abstract Poster Template, which are available on the website, under the Programme tab.
  • The physical poster will be displayed according to the slots given, kindly refer to the acceptance email for detailed information. Presenter must be onsite during the congress.

 

4. MSPTM Student Competition – Rapid Oral Presentation

    • The competition is open to all students attending the congress.
    • Total 4 minutes will be allotted for the MSPTM Student Competition – Rapid Oral Presentation, inclusive of 3 minutes presentation in themed session + 1 minute question & answer to be conducted by the judges.
    • Presenters must submit one presentation slide (single slide only) in MS. Power Point format (.ppt or .pptx) with on screen show 16:9 (landscape) through your ICTMM 2024 account dashboard by 5th August 2024.
    • Presenters are required to use the Abstract & Call For Symposium Slide Template (Presentation content slide), which are available on the website, under the Programme tab.
    • Presenter must present onsite during the congress.
    • Participants will be judged based on three main criteria:-
      • Content- This includes the originality/idea of the study, the quality of the methodology involved, and the effective organization of key points and the take-home message.
      • Presentation Skills- verbal and non-verbal communication skills as well as the creativity of the presentation.
      • Q & A- the ability of the participants to address questions clearly and demonstrate critical thinking in handling questions effectively.

 

5. MSPTM Student Competition – Poster Presentation

      • The competition is open to all students attending the congress.
      • Presenters will be allotted 3 minutes for their poster presentation, followed by a question and answer session with the judges. Judges will visit each poster individually, and there is no fixed schedule for their visits. Therefore, presenters must be prepared to deliver their presentation to each judge as they arrive.
      • Presenters are required to submit a physical poster on the event day upon registration.
      • The size of the poster must be in A0: 84.10cm (W) x 118.90cm (H) (Portrait Orientation).
      • The poster may include printed materials, tables, graphs, photographs, or illustrations. All the materials should be of sufficient size so they can be easily read at a reasonable distance of 1 to 1.5 meters by the readers.

        • Ability to Respond to Questions

 

6. Call For Symposium:

        • Presenters must submit presentation slide in MS. Power Point format (.ppt or .pptx) with on screen show 16:9 (landscape) through your ICTMM 2024 account dashboard by 5th September 2024.
        • Presenters are required to use the Abstract & Call For Symposium Slide Template, which are available on the website, under the Programme tab.

 

7. Keynote/Plenary Speaker:

      • Presenters must submit presentation slide in MS. Power Point format (.ppt or .pptx) with on screen show 16:9 (landscape) through your ICTMM 2024 account dashboard by a day before or at least 4 hours before the sessions.
      • Presenters are required to use the Keynote/Plenary Slide Template, which are available on the website, under the Programme tab.
  1. Submitter must be the presenter during onsite.
  2. Submissions should be sent electronically via the congress website only.
  3. Submissions should be written in English with a maximum of 250 words.
  4. Each presenter may submit TWO abstracts only.
  5. Submissions should be thoroughly checked for spelling and grammar before submission as they will be reproduced as submitted by the author.
  6. Changes will not be entertained once the abstract has been submitted.
  7. Submitters are advised to seek assistance to proofread the abstract if English is not their first language.
  8. It is the sole responsibility of the authors to ensure accuracy of scientific content and language.
  9. The abstract should not contain graphics or references.
  10. Please use abbreviations with restraint.
  11. Please indicate presenter name during submission, please notify secretariat via abstract@ictmm2024.org if there’s any changes in presenting author.

Submitters must conform to the following:

  1. To accept responsibility for the accuracy of the submitted abstract and understand that amendment is not allowed once it is submitted, and information provided will be published exactly as submitted.
  2. All co-authors are aware of and give consent to the content of the abstract and data presented before it is submitted. The submitter accepts responsibility as the contact person for all correspondence about the abstract and to share information with all authors about its status.
  3. Submission of abstracts implies the author’s agreement to publish the abstract in all congress publications including the website, i.e., submitters are responsible to secure any copyright/permissions clearance required relating to any previous presentations, equipment, or other material for inclusion in the ICTMM 2024 publications.
  4. Submitters are responsible to obtain permission from any relevant regulatory authority and obtain consent where appropriate.
  5. Submitters are responsible to ensure the work is original and that it does not infringe upon any copyright, proprietary or personal right of party.
  6. Submitters are responsible to identify and sort out any potential conflicts of interest e.g., financial interest in products or processes described in the presentation materials, stock ownership, and membership on an advisory board or board of directors or other substantive relationships.
  7. Submission of the online Registration and Abstract Submission form indicates the submitter has agreed to all the terms & conditions with regards to the congress registrations and abstract submissions as listed on the congress website (www.ictmm2024.org).

It is a pre-requisite of the acceptance of the abstract that the submitter must register to attend the congress in person (physical attendance). Abstracts submitted before payment of registration are eligible for an offer of acceptance. However, final acceptance requires registration with full payment by 31st July 2024.

Abstract Content:
Calibri, font size 11, justify alignment, not more than 250 words.

The abstract content should be informative and stand alone in its content and meaning. It should include a brief introduction, methods used, key results, brief discussion, and a conclusion.
